After working as a full-time employee for 5 years, I took a leap of faith and left my stable position not knowing that I would be pondering my next career move in the midst of an unprecedented crisis.
Taking a step into the unknown, I definitely had my fair share of doubts, fears and worries. It was also at this point in time that my eyes were opened to a whole new world of financial literacy. I had to navigate several financial topics, such as whether I could continue to afford the hefty insurance premiums each month and learning about CPF together with the various investment tools required for retirement.
This journey has allowed me to meet and interact with new people, consume knowledge from books, and keep tweaking my own beliefs when it comes to different areas of financial literacy.
Today I am back in a salaried position, but in a much better place than before in terms of managing my own finances. There is still much to learn, and I hope to use this blog to document reflections and lessons about life and finance as they pop up along the way. My wish is that some of these musings can benefit someone out there who may have had similar questions or thoughts before.
