From Confusion
to Clarity
Some years ago, I walked away from teaching without a job lined up. The burnout was real, and my body desperately needed a reset.
Up until that point, I saved money every month and thought that was enough. I had no debt, and my lifestyle felt sustainable. But when I finally paused to look closely at my finances, the reality was startling: I had worked full-time for nearly 7 years, but had less than $10,000 in my bank account.
That was the wake-up call I needed.
Back in the classroom, I could give my students model answers to help them pass their exams. But in real life, there was no answer key. I had to build my own financial foundation from scratch, and the learning curve was steep.
I studied different insurance philosophies before I streamlined my own coverage. I paid hefty fees to the market during my early days of investing. I dug deep into the various CPF policies to understand how retirement planning actually works. Along the way, every lesson I learnt became a building block in my quest to go from financial confusion to financial clarity.
That journey taught me something crucial: with the right framework and purposeful planning, anyone can take control of their financial future.
Today, I have peace of mind knowing exactly how my money is working for me. And that's why I'm passionate about helping others build the same confidence.
Could you figure everything out on your own? Of course. But it takes immense time, effort, and lots of trial and error along the way.
